6. eCommerce and payment providers.

Processing of data (customer and contract data)

We collect, process, and use personal data only to the extent necessary for the establishment, content, or modification of the legal relationship (inventory data). This is done on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures. We collect, process, and use personal data relating to the use of this website (usage data) only to the extent necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill for it.

The customer data collected will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Data transfer upon conclusion of contract for online shops, retailers, and goods shipping

Payment services

We integrate payment services from third-party companies on our website. When you make a purchase from us, your payment details (e.g., name, payment amount, account details, credit card number) are processed by the payment service provider for the purpose of payment processing.

Merchant authentication

If you are a Mercedes dealer, we need to be able to authenticate you as such. For this purpose, we require the following information from you: company name, address, contact details, and contact person. We then compare this information with the data from the Global Authentication System and forward it to Mercedes Benz AG, Daimler AG, and Mercedes Benz G GmbH in order to verify any bonus claims by Mercedes dealers.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, as it is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures.

The data will be stored by us until you request us to delete it, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies and no other legal basis for further processing applies.

Hotel reservations, restaurant reservations

If you book a hotel locally, in some cases we will pass on your first name and surname to the hotel so that they can provide you with small gifts if necessary. We will also pass on your telephone number and email address to the hotel so that they can contact you to offer you hotel accommodation at special rates. If necessary, we will also forward your telephone number and email address to our partner restaurants to make restaurant bookings easier during your stay by enabling the restaurant to contact you. The contact details may also be forwarded directly via the hotel if necessary.
